At Tiddlypeeps, we believe childhood should feel wild, joyful, and wonderfully simple.
In a world that moves fast, we offer a place where children can slow down, breathe deeply, explore freely, and rediscover the magic of being outdoors.
Nestled in a peaceful pocket of the Tortworth Estate — beside Tortworth Primary School and surrounded by the villages of Charfield, Cromhall, Wickwar, Wotton-under-Edge and Yate — our log cabin and enclosed meadow provide a safe, inspiring environment for children and families to reconnect with nature and with one another.
We are more than a preschool. More than a play space.
We are a community.
A place where muddy knees are celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, friendships are nurtured, and childhood is honoured in its purest form.
A Nature-Led Approach to Early Childhood
We offer a nature-led preschool alongside a range of enriching outdoor experiences designed to support children’s confidence, wellbeing, and independence. Rooted in regular time outdoors, child-led play, and respectful relationships, our approach supports the whole child — physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively.
Through gentle guidance, creative exploration, and meaningful connection with the natural world, children learn through movement, imagination, curiosity and hands-on adventure.
Our programmes include:
Preschool Sessions – child-led, play-rich days grounded in nature and supported risk-taking
The Rewild Play Hub – an inviting indoor–outdoor play space for families and community sessions
Seasonal Events & Family Sessions – opportunities for children, parents and childminders to gather in nature
Toddler Groups & Workshops – gentle introductions to outdoor play, sensory experiences and early connection
Every part of our setting, from the cosy log cabin to the open meadow, is intentionally designed to feel warm, welcoming and grounding. We value slow rhythms, open-ended materials, natural play, and the kind of childhood memories that stay with families for a lifetime.

What We Value
Real play
We champion child-led exploration that sparks creativity, curiosity, problem-solving and joy. Children are free to move their bodies, follow their interests, and learn through hands-on discovery.
Belonging
Every child, parent and educator is welcomed as part of our community. We create an atmosphere where families feel seen, supported and included.
Simplicity
We choose slow rhythms, calm spaces and minimal, natural resources that invite deep play and imagination. By reducing noise and clutter, children can focus, regulate and play with intention.
Natural resources
We prioritise materials such as wood, stone, fabric and loose parts from nature. These offer richer sensory experiences, encourage creativity and problem-solving, and support emotional regulation — grounding children in the textures, scents and beauty of the real world.
Connection
We nurture meaningful connections:
to self, through confidence, wellbeing and emotional awareness;
to each other, through kindness, communication and shared experiences;
and to the world around us, through care, curiosity and respect for nature.

Whether your child joins us for preschool days, toddler groups or play hub sessions, our aim is the same: to nurture confident, curious, grounded children who feel at home in themselves and in nature.
We invite you to join us, breathe in the fresh air, and discover a place where childhood can be beautifully, and intentionally, rewilded.
